Now showing at the Independence Seaport Museum at Philadelphia is “Skin & Bones: Tattoos In The Life of The American Sailor”. The exhibit features images and histories of some of the most renowned Sailor tattoo artists and sailor culture from the Bowery and life at Liberty in Hawaii. The exhibition runs till January 3rd, 2010.

THE SOLE VERT
This vertical messenger bag is inspired by 70s puffer jackets, complete with suede leather and nylon fabric, an adjustable seatbelt webbing shoulder strap, a leather lashing square pack closure, and of course, a water-resistant shoe sole inspired bag bottom. There’s even a quilted laptop sleeve!!
THE SOLE PACK
JanSport has taken their classic backpack and gives it a serious makeover by using nylon fabric and fusing it onto colored natural rubber soles. Some of its details include a shoe lace spreader on the shoulder strap, an internal quilted laptop sleeve, and a translucent pack bottom allowing light through, for full view.
You can find these collections at select retailers such as Gallery H and The Luggage Source in New York City beginning June 2009.
VIA SNEAKHYPE (THIS PIECE IS SICK)
This is the first single from Moby’s upcoming album – Wait For Me – dropping June 30th on Mute Records. There are no words to this, but the subtle instrumentation and squiggly animation by the inimitable David Lynch are enough to induce sonic nirvana.
Now let’s see whether Mr. West can take a joke or whether he’ll throw another tantrum. Props to the Southpark writers though – this is too funny.
